Hi All,

Just seeking some quick feedback - I'm planning a 3 month trip across Europe from September-November 2012. My itinerary is nowhere near finalised (plus I want an open schedule), but I do know that I fly into Paris and out of Berlin. I'd like to spend time in France, Spain, eastern euro nations (Poland, Czech Republic), a visit across to Istanbul, Turkey - then Berlin where I plan on finding work. Will be using a mix of buses and trains to get around, and most likely a flight from Istanbul to Berlin.

For the first 90 days I have roughly 12,000 euro = 133 EU/day (however, this is to include transport). Is this a reasonable amount??

I plan on staying in hostels mostly (single room every now and then to recharge), I don't drink a whole lot, but love to eat :) Want to do lots of sight-seeing, but also happy to just wander around a new city the whole day spending next to nothing.

Thanks for any advice!

I think your trip sounds like a good start to a plan. 3 months might seem like a lot in theory, but when you start looking at destinations and travel time, it can quickly get eaten up. I'm heading to that part of the world this christmas, for 6 weeks, and have had to cut out a bunch of destinations to fit it all in. If you're planning to find work in Berlin, how long would you be staying there for?

Thanks for your reply! Not sure exactly how long I plan on staying in Berlin - anywhere from a month to six months. It really depends on the job I find (if I find one). I'm being told constantly that without the ability to speak German, my chances of finding work are slim. Still, I'm going to go and give it a shot :)

If you happen to pass through Barcelona there are many attractions there. You can't miss La Sagrada Familia which some people say the interior leaves them in awe of its beauty. There are also the other architectural works of Guadí like La Pedrera and Casa Batlló. Also you can enter Parc Güell for free (though they want to charge an entrance fee so make the most of it while you can). There are loads of museums like CosmoCaixa (my personal favourite), Picasso Museum, MACBA, or The Design Hub, depending on what you're interested in,
