Does anyone have any experience using this bag for extensive worldwide travel?

5.11 Rush 72 as a RTW bag?
Scritch
With all the bags out there, it's hard to find a review on a particular one, even unofficial ones on forums.
I'd say the size is pretty decent, small enough for most luggage racks. But it's a tad expensive. Have you tried on that style of backpack at a store? Knowing your back size and how a bag sits on your shoulders or hips (emphasis on YOUR) is going to be more helpful than any one person's recommendation.
It also has a lot of neat little pouches and zippers, but my instinct is for around the world travel, maybe simpler is better. Even if it's well-made, there could be wear and tear of constantly opening and closing things. Have you considered just getting a basic bag with a compartment/pouch or two made of bombproof material and a rain cover for half the price? Be easier to fix, too. Plus, I think simple packs and duffles attract a lot less attention.
Also depends what type of traveling you're doing. I love my bag, but it's only got a foam frame sheet in the back. Because there's no metal frame for support, if I was hoofing it for miles a day in the wilderness I might start winging. As it is, it's good for a few hours of wandering around a city, but after that I'm glad to have it off my back.
