Accommodation for Writers Festival in Ubud

Hey all,
I'm planning on going to the writers festival in Ubud in October and was wondering if anyone knew of any little goldmines to stay at that are close to town and cheap and chearful! I have been trawling the accommodation sites for days and can only come up with expensive, out of town places. Air con, own bathroom, twin room and internet would be our needs. Would appreciate any tips and thanks in advance.
