Having come back from an extensive trip through South America I have a cuople thousand photos to weed through and identify the best. I want to be able to show them to people/send them to friends. Anything that comes in a Powerpoint format is sure to send them to sleep or run for the hills at another boring picture show.
What are some other alternatives to using powerpoint (or even possibly making the most out of powerpoint). I have a Picasa account and that was great when I was on the road but I would like to be able to put it together in some sort of engaging composition now that I am back. Possibly something with music or sounds.
I am technicaly oriented so learning a new program would not be too much of a challenge. Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Conor

I have no idea what she used to make it, but is something like this what you are looking for? LINK Give it some time to load. She has a bootsnall blog where you can try getting a hold of her and find out what she did.

Depending on how many folks you want to share your pics with, the way you're prepping them plays a big part. From my experience, Picasa and Flickr are both great tools for uploading and sharing en masse to both friends and family. The price is right, if you've got the patience to upload and go through those photos.
Best of luck,
