Anybody Studied French in the Caribbean?

I'm wondering if anyone out there has experience studying the French language in Guadeloupe, or one of the other French speaking Caribbean islands? If so, could you share your experience and possibly recommend a school?

I've been studying French for the past 3 months, so thought I'd combine a winter vacation with some immersion training in a French speaking country. I attempted a google search on the topic, but only found links for Language Tour Companies, mostly based out of Europe, that are basically brokers and not directly affiliated with the schools. I'd prefer to deal directly with the schools themselves to avoid the middle-man fees.

Please let me know if you have any advice or recommendations. Any help at all will be greatly appreciated!
