Anyone else going abroad 08-09?

Postby Arre » March 8th, 2008

I just sent my application to the University of Otago in Dunedin, New Zealand. If I get accepted, I'll be starting second semester (in mid-July 2008) and staying through the summer break and then first semester (February-June 2009).

Anyone else planning to study abroad this year?

Well, I got accepted, and I'm leaving for the airport in sixteen hours. The trip over there's going to be a little hellish (Burlington to DC to LA to Sydney to Auckland to Wellington to Dunedin... I leave Friday morning and get in Sunday night), but it's definitely going to be worth it! Smile

I'm studying abroad this school year! I am heading out to the National University of Singapore in January for a semester... What could be a better way to get to travel while still keeping on track with school!?

I'll be in Aberystwyth for a year, starting in September. Smile Now that I have a ticket, a place to live, and entry clearance, it's all feeling quite real....

I'll be studying abroad this spring. My first option is a school in Colombia and my second option is Buenos Aires!

Im from Malaysia and I will be studying in Adelaide, South Australia for a year starting from January2010. :P I know it's not 08-09 but I am uber excited about it.

Smile I hope to travel during my breaks then I won't have to add it to my RTW after I graduate. G'luck with everyone's studies and travels!

Good luck everyone! So exciting to be starting school in a different country eh?

As it happens, I'm halfway through the first semester of my planned year in New Zealand and I'm already hatching plans to transfer here and stay for the rest of my degree. I met with a credit adviser yesterday and it turns out I could probably graduate a semester early from Otago (meaning I'd only be staying five months beyond the year I had originally fixed on anyway).

I just sent in my application for the Spring semester program(January-April, I believe)at Freie Universtat in Berlin. Admittedly, it's not as exotic as New Zealand or Thailand, but I'll just be glad to get anywhere outside of the States. Props to studying abroad.
