best ever. they cut off ure hands if u cheat ie adulterate gold. though people in the region say bahrain gold is best. if ure buying gold, chk the price in the newspaper, then add some $ for cost of labour. gold/silver is sold by weight. handmade costs more on account of labour, machine made is cheaper. so if ure buying to invest, go with machine made. indian gold is 22K, bahrain gold(ie jewellery for bahrain people) is genrally 18 K and westener gold is 15-16K. i'd recommend 22K. diamonds - no clue i dont like diamonds. other stones the usual. if u see bahrain pearls there buy. the best.

The gold is only the highest quality. It's really shocking to see the orange of the gold souk if you're used to North American gold.
There's a Diamond mall filled almost entirely with diamond stores. There's pretty much anything you're looking for.
