I was wondering if anyone had had success renting an apartment in Fes. I will be staying a month or more, so finding a place to stay for a while when I get there would be perfect. There are many fantastically beautiful guesthouses and riads online, of course, but does anyone know if I can find something a bit more downscale when I get to the city?
Many, many thanks for the attention!!

Until someone else chimes in here, you might consider contacting Thomas at Journey Beyond Travel. He's been living in Morocco for some time and might be able to point you in the right direction. Tell him Chris from BootsnAll sent you

Re: Apartment in Fes for a Month?
I can't speak for Fes - however, I've rented rooms for long stays all over Africa. It can be a bit difficult, because everyone assumes you want the most deluxe place, so often you only get shown something that is not so different from the hotel prices. However, something cheaper exists. But be warned, there's quite a lot of hustle in Morocco.
But what do I do? Go to a residential district, outside of the carpet shops and tourist hustle, walk around, ask people. Good luck to you...\
