Can anyone give any insight on travel from Beijing to Urumchi? I will be traveling starting the beginning of March for about a month or so. Thinking of going by train with one or two other friends starting in Beijing and stopping a few times on the way to Urumchi. Then I would like to stay in Xinjiang for a couple weeks and travel around.

I would love any suggestions!
