Birthday ideas for my wife in San Jose, Costa Rica?

Hey all - my wife's 28th birthday is on the 24th of July. From the way our schedule looks we will be bussing into San Jose quite late in the afternoon on that day, and then spending the 25th there as well before catching a plane. Looking for a cool restaurant that: has awesome healthy food, can give us a meal with dessert and maybe a glass of wine for about $70, and a place taxi drivers will actually be familiar with. Also, any ideas for a fun day (we like activities) for the next day?

Can't help with the restaurant but I'll give you a couple of ideas for activities. You can book a whitewater rafting trip from San Jose. You can either do it as a day trip, returning to San Jose, or the rafting company will transport you to certain onward destinations once the rafting is done. There's also the La Paz Waterfall Gardens which are about an hour from San Jose. If memory serves me correctly, this is normally visited as a 4 in one trip that includes 3 other destinations.
