Re: BNA annual Portland Christmas Party - Hostel stayers
Hey guys
I just called the hostel and about 3 people have booked. I hope more will come.
Friday night is the annual Trekker's rum apple cider and we are thinking about doing a hot spring tour on the saturday before the party.
Give in put, this year is looking small and cozy.

I'm probably blind but I'm not seeing the info about where the party itself is. Do you have more info on it? Thanks!

Hey
Things are still be finalised but it is looking like a late afternoon to evening deal at a local pub on saturday the 5th of december.
Friday night there will be spiked apple cider at the hostel as usual, and most likely some sort of a trip saturday morning.
Sunday is the weekend market in portland we usually go check out as well.
Hope to see you there
Kathy

Hey all
Due to some changes I will not be able to attend. But if a contingent does get to the party I hope you have a blast.

Hello! Blast from the past checking in on the boards. Hello to all who remember me, and to those who do not! Looks like I'll be making the annual pilgrimage to Portland for the weekend's festivities -- I've heard a rumor BostonBill is coming too! Bill? Any truth there??
cheers,

It is amazing how quickly the year has slipped on by. I was hoping to have visited the Portland area sometime during the spring or summer but it never happened. Some people always ask why I go there in Dec and I usually say because of the warm and friendly people I know/meet there.
See you there Steve!
(and I hope a bunch more)

I was actually pondering more about snow on the roads... might not take a motorcycle if they are nasty. Never having been out that way before, don't know what to expect. Grin.

To tell the truth, Portland got a light snowfall that froze the city up last year. They banned traffic without chains from the freeway. They don't get enough snow to have the equipment to handle any. Still amazed that a couple of inches of snow could cause so many problems.

Re: BNA annual Portland Christmas Party - Hostel stayers
I've updated Trekker's original post with details of the party. Obviously it will be quite a bit smaller than the huge bash we had last year. But that's a good thing in my opinion. This year I may actually get to talk to some people and not be running around all over the place.
Please note: There has been a venue change due to a scheduling conflict with North 45. We'll now be at the Emanon Cafe. It's small & cozy, they have beer, wine & a full bar and food can be ordered off their menu.
