I'd be keen on Edinburgh sometime... never been.

Well it looks like I'll be missing out on Coventry in March...but Edinburgh looks to be good Smile

How about sometime early summer? I realise it's too soon to set a date but if we think about sometime like June...that way it will be warm enough to be outside but also cold enough that "some people" will need a beer to warm them up Wink

Yay Edinburgh!! Smile

Edinburgh sounds good. Summer sounds good. That beer sounds even better.

As long as it's before the end of May Edinburgh would be great.

Both sound good. I miss Edinburgh, but the weather there is best in spring (late April) or maybe early summer.

Ivybell, I miss St. Andrews as well!

I think the general idea was to wait until both LondonCard and Lancashirehotpot are back in town after their RTW...so they can regale us all of tales of travelling..and share a few beers Wink

I suggest sometime around June...does anyone know when they will be back in the UK?

ok, i've listen to my lovely message many times - have no clue what in the world you all were talking about. Wish I could capture the message to mp3 and post it up here - Smile

Great photos from London, but can you go back and add names so we know who's who? some have names, many do not. thanks!

and, I'm tentatively planning a London trip in March/April -- so, keep me apprised of any plans brewing in The Isles.

Nor me, man Wink Would be hilarious if you could find a way to post it.

All: end of March may be out for me, but Edinburgh, amazingly, I can probably manage. I may even be able to organise some, y'know, stuff. And things. Meantime, title your photos, you lazy tingies!

You're right, after April really is the best time. I only said before the end of May because after that I'll be leaving for the summer, and likely be spending the next year somewhere in the ME.

Hey all

I did put descriptions on my photos but didn't title them so you have to click on the photo to read mine. But i will change that.

Cant believe how many photos we took in one night - i have to say we all look mighty fine! well with the exception of the pisshead - you know who you are!! Only kidding Stoo - you looked lovely too! Rumour has it you are the younger better looking version of Al Pacino Wink

Dave(Londoncard) and Joe(Lancashirehotpot) i think are back in May towards the end of but i could be wrong.

Capt Steve sorry cant help you with what on earth was on that message that part of the night was a little fuzzy!
And if you are headed to us in mar/apr we will definately put a get together on in your honour!

For a second I thought you were talking about DreamerHelen! (haha) I suppose meeting up with friends before you all (two or three bottles of wine between the three of us Abzv ) was a bad idea in hindsight. Next time I'll invite you all!!! Devil

Alright, I renamed mine so you can figure out who people are. And maybe one of these days I'll post the other good non-party-related shots of London... when I get around to it...

Ok so I'm drunk again (how does that work when you've been to a family 70th birthday party where you are by far the youngest person there??? Maybe it was my cousin handing me double vodkas for the last hour.....????).
So anyway I'm trying to work out what's planned after reading all these threads...I've got Graeme's weekend watching hockey at the beginning of March, another trip to welcome Capt Steve to the UK in March/April and then a trip to Edinburgh before the end of May to say hello to Ivybell, Londoncard and Lancashirehotpot??? Is that right??? Hve I got enough money to fun d it all??? Do I care.....????? Big Grin

Early summer in Edinburgh sounds good - you've got to come on one of the late night Mercat Tours and explore the more macabre side of the city.

If your nerves are still in one piece then checkout the City Vaults, the haunting in Mary Kings Close and the poltergeist in the MacKenzie Tomb if you're feeling lucky.

You'll need a nip of the strong stuff and a haggis after the last one.

If you're a bit of a wuss then don't worry - there's always the ghost of Greyfriars Bobby to keep you company.
