I am probably going to Rome in early September and The Hague in early October, so I can try to cover those.

Lisbon is WAY cheaper than the rest of Europe, and it's one of the most wonderful cities I've ever been to. I know you didn't include it in your original sample, but it would be an eye-opener if you did, and I would happily be your resource, as I just left there less than a week ago.

I have been putting off reporting on my own failure for a couple of days but I guess I should own up to it now.
I was unable to do the Sydney cost index for a variety of reasons, most notably because I flew in from the other side of the world and only had seven nights there, and because I stayed with my parents who don't live near the city centre. Basically, I didn't get nearly as many things done as I'd hoped, including the cost index.
Sorry if I let everyone down. I can still do the Doha cost index over the next few weeks.

Is the "basket" you decided on listed in the other thread?
Yup. And we have a spreadsheet with notes. After some confussion about certain items I think it is best if there are some clarifying notes on the spreadsheet...will try to do tongight.

Uh. I haven't been following this, but if it will help, I can do a city in Mexico in the next couple of weeks if that would add some geographic diversity. (Don't ask me which one as I don't really know where I'm going to be.
Maybe Guadalajara, or who knows, but it will be a "real" city.) I can only do this on two conditions though.
1. It's really EASY and doesn't take a ton of time. (I haven't seen whatever your final list was. Where is it?)
2. I can send the data to someone else who can enter it into the spreadsheet. I don't "excel". I just don't.
Are the categories available in non-spreadsheet form? I can't even open a spreadsheet, literally, and even if I could, my head would explode.
A shitty offer to assist, I admit, but an offer nonetheless.
