Boards Changes...where did they go?

I moved all thread and replies from the "tips, links, and website" forums to there respective regional forum and deleted those forums. So all those thread still exist, just under the category associated with them

Why?
We created those forums years ago to deal with the vendors/spammers that were posting on the boards to give them a place. That does not happen anymore...so we moved the threads and axed 'em

Travellers versus Tourist Forum
I moved all the threads and there replies to the BootsnAll Members Forum. We has a lot of fun with that forum years ago and it was fun to debate those issues. If you still want to, the threads live on...just in a different place.

Good to see it, everything looks much cleaner now...brings the list of forums down to a more manageable length.

But: did you lose some threads? I just logged on and the first thing I noticed was that there was one post in the Members forum and then the next in line was from Feb 4, and hadn't been added to since.

I've noticed at least one thread that I can't find anymore in the Member's Forum -- "Any super hiding places for your cash?" -- which is too bad, because I was hoping to get a question answered on there. It turns up when I search for it, but it doesn't show up where it should be on the thread list. Any idea where it's gone?

Almost Free: I did not delete anything on purpose mate - what you are seeing might be a post that has not had a response since feb 4th?

Right, it's still there, but there's something weird going on with the thread lists. Have a look at the Hiding Places thread, and you'll see that I made the last post there on February 10. But at least when I look in the Member's Forum, it doesn't show up where it should.

Also, have a look at the Asia forum. There are two threads with posts from the last couple of days. But after that, the next thread was last posted to on January 14, 2003. I know there were more recent posts than that, because I posted to a thread called something like "Overland Travel in NE China" a few days ago, and I seem to remember a number of other, more recent threads.

I hope I don't seem like a whiny brat complaining about my threads being gone. I just want to let the moderators know that it seems like there's something awry.

You aren't being whiny (very much ) JK...I am actually glad that you are bringing it up. As the posts get participated in, they will "reorganize" themselves
