books on south korea

Hi all,
I am considering and most likely going to move to South Korea to teach English in the next year and until I go, I want to learn about the country through reading.

The books can be fiction or non-fiction. And I'm looking for more than the basic Lonely Planet book about tours and stuff...I guess I mean more about the people and living there than just about being a tourist you know? Anything you think might be good!
