BootsnAll Annapurna Trek

Figure out the best place to stay on Khao San Road in Bangkok and where to escape when you've had enough of the mayhem. From Singapore Slings to the changes in Bejing after the 2008 Olympics, gab about it all here.

BootsnAll is doing a Nepal trip to the Annapurna mountains. This adventure will take you through the dramatic landscapes of Nepal and to witness first hand the rugged beauty of the highest mountain range on earth.

High snow top mountain peaks, raging rivers, quaint villages, suspension bridges, hot springs and dramatic landscapes - this trail leads to the ancient temple of Muktinah high in the mountains at 13,000 ft. Muktinah is a complex where woman monks pray and pilgrims from India and Nepal worship.

This trek is considered to be the best introductions to trekking in Nepal. If you only have a few weeks, this region should be your top choice.

Hello Hayden,
Talking about Annapurna Circuit, I would appreciate you can provide some advice as I am planning to do the circuit plus the Tilicho lake starting from May 1st with a friend. Some of my concerns are:
Do you recommend hiring guide/porter?
Are the roads pretty easy to find in Tilicho lake/Thorong La area?
Is Tilicho Lake base hotel open during May?
Do we need to carry sleeping bag and what's the maximum weight of the bagpack you suggest?

Thanks
