Buzzwords

Like it or love it, most of us have to work for a living. This is the place to commiserate with other cube-dwellers and get tips from other business travelers. Talk about how the daily grind will one day allow you to realize your vagabond dreams. Share tips for turning travel you have to do into travel you want to do.

I have a wonderful best friend who I love dearly, but she works in advertising/PR. If I hear her say she's going to put 'velocity behind' another project I'm going to kick her ass. I keep wanting to ask her if she really understands the concepts of velocity and acceleration and send her back to high school physics.

There's alot more too; they just keep coming. I'll try to remember some of the other ridiculous things that come out of her mouth. I'd like to say that she's an impressionable girl and really just picks up what others are saying. An unconscious figuring that if she talks like them, they'll listen better. Its not her fault; she doesn't make up this stuff. (If she did I'd smack her.)

Kick her ass. Or at least slap her. Seriously. You'll be doing her a favor.

That one gave me chills... Mad

That's because I just put velocity behind you. One of my new X-Man powers. You're welcome.

I bet that comes with a really cool outfit, something with black and midnight blue leather. What's your X-Man name? My first thought was Velocity Woman but that's just downright boring.

3) Optimal utlisation of the team force
4) Ontime response
5)Talent hunt

A couple new phrases -
"Bring value" and also be "bring value to the table"
"New Economy"

Just for shits and giggles
“synergize backward overflow.” - I love 30 Rock

How about 'proactive'? I think I know too many people who think this is an actual word (including every boss I've ever had).

Ummm....actually...proactive is a word. Not to say that everyone who uses it knows what it means, but it's nonetheless a real word with real situations where you might want to use it.
