Can log in Admin but can't do anything else

Never mind that the look of the admin page is totally different... what happened to my Dashboard? Nowhere is there an option to create a new post, manage older posts, etc. Anyone else having a problem?

The dashboard is a little different, but all the options are still there. On the left side of the page, there are tabs which expand. When you mouse over them, a small arrow will appear and you can see more options under each heading.

Also, on the dashboard page, you can create a post right there, under the 'QuickPress' heading on the right side of the page.

Thanks for the reply, Chris, but the options tabs on the left side of the page do not expand. I even clicked on "Appearance" and I'm not taken to another page. The "QuickPress" heading is not on the Dashboard page, either. If I can figure out how to take a snapshot of the page to show you, I will.
