Cell phones in Bali

Postby tcatlin21 » November 28th, 2006

I was curious if you can bring a Cell phone from an american company that uses a sim card. Then buy a Bali sim card and install it on the phone, will you then have a bali phone # and be able to make/receive calls?

Toby,

What up dude? Smile

If your US cell phone is unlocked, yes - you can then buy a SIM card in Bali and pay local rates. If your cell phone is locked...

I have 2 unlocked ones that you can borrow when I see you on the 14th - no worries. Smile

Sean- Nice thanks man..Just figured it would be an easy way to keep in touch with family back home, being the holidays and all. I'll make sure to keep it safe and return it to you when I get back. That Jerk Nick, wont answer what I can bring him and his family. He is getting something from the northwest whether he likes it or not. Look forward to seeing you....Smile

if you have cingular and you have had your phone for 6 months, just call them up and tell them you want the subsidy unlock code...they will have you fill out a form, call from landline cause they make you read a number behind the battery, you will get the code in 7 days or less...

If you have other phone services im sure they do the same thing...

hope that helps

Toby you benchong (if you don't know what that is, I'll introduce you to one), you can as, Sean said, buy a SIM card here and be with the program. Buying a phone here is also cheap, you can pick up an old second hand one for maybe 300,000rp.

Nick, Just as long as he/she is cute thats all I care about. You think you could babysit while I go out on my hot date you set me up on? Or maybe better yet since I already know you, we could just slap some lipstick on you and call you NICole?

Toby & Sean,

I greatly look forward to seeing you both again.

Toby, I plan to be at the airport when you arrive and will book you in somewhere, so don't stress anything.

Re: benchongs. I'm a pretty ugly man, so let's not even think about me as a girl.
