Am wondering if the opportunity to relax doing a beach scene kind of thing can happen on the coastal areas southEast of Beijing? My definition for this is a place to conveniently hang for a week nearby the water which is NOT westernized or major tourista, rather a typical modest environment which allows for an authentic cultural experience to just kickback. And has a few restaurants and sights to see nearby also?
Also have questions about public transport from Beijing to the coast region, is it available and how long will it take?
Coast SE of Beijing, something to see and experience?

Quindao! Germans built a brewery there years ago so the beer is good. GREAT seafood. Fast new train down from Beijing used by communist bureaucrats in Beijing to vacation in Quindao.
