I'd love to go to Greenland - it's on my 'to do' list!

Fed the Manatees at Singapore Zoo. Pics on Flickr (though I managed to delete 3/4 of them... Doh!). Very bristly whiskers which tickle your hand when you feed them!

Very, very cool.

If you like Manatees, they are a rip-off in New York City. Movies cost $10.75 no matter what time of day you go.

Yes there are two paths you can go by, but in the long run
There's still time to change the road you're on....

Hmmm, let's see:

- Started a new business
- Bought a house AND renovated it
- Rediscovered my long-buried French language skills
- Went to Las Vegas
- Went on an Orca-watching boat trip (grew up on the coast but never did that before...it was awesome)
- Drove across the upper states of the U.S.
- Went to Portland to meet wonderful Booties for the 1st time Smile
- Will end the year in Dallas watching the Cowboys beat the
Detroit Lions

Wow, looking back on that list I did more this year than I thought! It wasn't a great year travel-wise but here's to 2007 being better. Hoping to make it to Australia and back to Afghanistan to work there again.

Great thread BTW Smile

-Bumped my list of Countries Lived In from two up to three (USA, Sweden, and now Canada)
-Lived in a city for the first time (Montreal)
-Started my freshman year at university
-Turned 18
-Started learning Sanskrit
-Visited three new countries (Senegal, Ecuador, and Peru) including one new continent (I'd been to Africa before, but not South America)
-Tons of things which fall under the heading of that last one (hiked the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu, served breakfast to Talibe kids in northern Senegal, went pirahna fishing in the Amazon, etc)

Best year of my short life so far, I'd say.
Thronging of the thousands up that labour under sea
White for bliss and blind for sun and stunned for liberty.
