will be in Corvallis soon on a short, but stressful trip. Can anyone suggest a good place to get a beer and some greasy pub food at the end of the day?

thanks

May 16th, but I gotta stay in Corvallis on some family biznass--that sucks though, it would be cool to meet you guys. something tells me that I'd wake up with a big ole headache the next morning...another time for certain. If this trip goes well, then I'll be making many many more trips up to the Portland/Corvallis area.

but still, will need to relax after hours in Corvallis, so please oh please advise Ant.

thanks

i'll be flying this time, but there will hopefully be drives up there in my future--we shall see...and if what you hippies do up there to relax has anything to do with the "Humboldt Honeys" website, then maybe I'll pass (or count me in??? hard to say)

I can't belive you've never seen the Humboldt Honeys--a friend of mine who went to college up there clued me into it...rather scandelous for a bunch of peace-lovin' hippies. it makes me laugh

hahahahaha--pass it on

May 16? Hmmm... on the one hand that might work... we're moving to Portland on that Saturday, and I'll be back in Eugene Saturday night for a poetry slam... how long are you up there?

I'm not sure yet about where you can unwind in Corvallis, but depending on how things go with us moving and all that, maybe we can still sort something out?

Main thing is just how long yu're in town... and I'll try to get back with more on what to do in Corvallis. In fact, you might to check the Eugene Weekly, as they often have Corvallis listings too.

I'll be in Corvallis late Friday night through Sunday night. And I'll be busy both days, so I only have nights (mainly after 8 pm).

I'll be staying at the Portland airport on Sunday night, so if you guys are going to be in the big P, let me know and maybe I could meet you for a pint.

Ah, another potential immigrant! Not that I can say much, mind you, having relocated from Virginia.

Glad you had a good time though. And I'm sorry we couldn't get together on Sunday night. We're pretty settled into the new house though (and here's some pix & such on the move). Next time you guys want to come up and come exploring, let us know so we can get together.

Did we mention there's a v. cool Irish pub (called The County Cork) about half a block away? As you can guess, it figured into the decision to go with this place :-)

Hey-hey, sweet! We have the "unofficial" "BootsnAll hostel". Which translate to air mattress and email, but hey, the beer's cold and the coffee's hot.

We're up in NE, area of town called Sabin. Here's full contact & address stuff for us.

Drop me or Sean an email, and we'll see if we can sort something out.

The pub down the street needs more BootsnAll'ers imbibing in it, after all...

And souveneirs, whatever you want - California microbrew is always good. (Besides, if we wanted more hippies, dood, we'd stay in Eugene!)
