Hello everybody,

Anybody else not like the term 'did' when referencing travel. ie I DID Asia last year.

What does that even mean? anyway just though i'd throw that out there. Just gets on my nerves for some reason.

Safe Travels :)

I don't mind that so much. I actually prefer people talking about what they've done versus what they're going to do. Hence, big dislike for "traveler for life" or "world traveler" or any other idiotic phrase that describes a bunch of stuff you really haven't done yet. Of course, my apologies to anyone who's been at it for fifty years and really has traveled and lived everywhere.

Well, people who gernerally have "done" a country, tend to be of the younger, usally male, party crowd.

Case in point. Met a English lad over in here in NZ. He "did" Thailand and Australia, after a little probing, turns out he stayed on Koh Phangan for three weeks and jumped from one party hostel to the next in Australia. Even missed out the Great Barrier Reef beacuse he was to wasted from the night before.
