Dutch weed prices up, THC content down

Postby rawjer » October 24th, 2007

Believe it or not, the Netherlands has a government institute that tracks prices and quality of their weed, among other things. I saw results of this year's survey and wrote a short piece about it on the new Amsterdamlogue , which I'd like you to check out for all your Amsterdam-related needs.

Even if there is truth to this, you are able to get way higher for way less in Amsterdam than any place in the US (unless you grow it or something).

Go to Switzerland. THC content of indoor plants has apparently quadrupled in Swiss weed. Wink There are still plenty of shops where you can buy weed - but since Blocher, they are a bit more hidden than before.

It is my experience that weed is way cheaper in the USA then in the Netherlands. Amsterdam is outrageously priced- especially when you pay by the gram.

That is no idle boast from elAdi: Swiss grass is so strong that when first moved here I'd get all paranoid after smoking it. So I quit! You got that right: Stoo stopped smoking pot because the weed in Switzerland is too strong!

I've grown a bit in the past and was thinking of starting up again, mostly for fun, but Blocker and crew want to kick out foreigners with drug convictions, among other things. (And kick out my entire immigrant family, if I had one.) So that is that...will have to wait until I have a red pass Wink

Oh, well...I'll get over it.

Stoo: I hear ya. My best friend in Switzerland was growing weed with an industrial plantation. I stopped smoking his stuff - even though it was free for me. The way I figure it is, that it's actually not the THC content that makes you paranoid, but the fertilizers used to grow the plants. It was fascinating to see the process of growing plants in water, but rather disturbing to realize what goes into them.
However, in Switzerland you have great access to hash, which I always preferred over weed anyhow. Nothing like some good Afghan charras. (God bless America for letting the Afghans grow again. Heh.)
