Has anyone here used Global Teachers as their recruiting firm to teach abroad?
I have been using a great international teaching recruitment firm that has an excellent reputation. Currently I have had many offers for teaching abroad but I was eyeing France as this is where I will be wanting to settle. I'm married to a French man so getting papers isn't an issue...it's just getting a job that pays well enough.
I know that most of the jobs go through recruiting fares and that this does have costs. But I want to make sure the firm is reputable before plunking down the euros.

Thanks!

I've never even heard of Global Teachers - and we taught overseas for 12 years! The main ones we used while overseas were ISS, Search, and UNI.

I've heard of Global Teachers. Some people who are signed up with my agency (Bluewave--it does UK/Australia, and less other international teaching) are also signed up with Global Teachers. Goood luck finding that perfect job!

(or, you know, that good-enough-for-now job)

Well I have used Search for my placement but was considering using another that offered more positions in Europe. I was really debating the entire go to Europe with any job or continue my established career within education and giving up on Europe for now. So ultimately I decided to go elsewhere than Europe. I took a job in a fantastic school with a good reputation rather than risk sullying my career.

Thanks for all the advice!
