Has anyone ever worked the olympics? I signed up to an interested list for London. If I don't work them I will most certainly going to watch.

I did. It was great fun. Of course, these were the ancient, not the modern games. ('84 Summer Olympics.) I was living and going to school in Santa Barbara and the university I was attending and working at was the housing site for track and field athletes. I installed Carl Lewis' telephone in his dorm room.
