I've never done it, but the obvious thing that comes to my mind is writing.

Magazine/news articles
Copy writing
Resumes
Novels
Blogs
Erotica

The possibilities are endless really.

As far what can you do from your home...again, the possibilities are endless - massage, child care, elder care, phone sex line (yes, I'm serious), musical instruction, tutoring, language instruction, dance instruction, debt counseling...certainly you're an expert at something that others want to either learn or have done for them.

I have been doing this for three years now and have actually managed to save quite a bit by living in cheap countries and earning dollars and pounds.

Create your own websites and then sell things or advertising space. It can take a while as there are no shortcuts!

But having the freedom to work anywhere and travel is truly a great existence.

I'll second SoloTraveller on this one!

The last time I hit the road for three years, building a website for money wasn't really an option so I wrote for a living. I did make a decent living at it but not the first year. The second year I broke even and I only really started the bright lights by the third.

With a website I can earn enough each month to travel in cheap countries (I'm not traveling right now but I am doing the earning) and if I worked harder, I would probably make enough to travel just a bit more luxuriously. Just a bit, mind you.
