Finally, the sale of my house has taken 3 months longer than expected but contracts were submitted this morning, confirmed this afternoon - handed in my notice just now!. In three weeks time I move out, in four weeks I leave the firm, in five weeks I'll be in Paris and probably by the sixth week I'll be looking to be somewhere else........... or I may love it there - who knows. From thereon after that is, frankly anybody's guess but be assured, it'll be extensive. Europe for instance should take me to summer next year.... then middle east or india/Nepal then SE Asia/Indonesia then Oz and NZ, pacifics, states, Canada, Central and South America, South Africa........ not necessarily in that order. It goes on.

Unsurprisingly, I've got the screaming heebie jeebies about all this but it's been on the cards for a long time and think I'm prepared. At 36, you wonder if it's the right choice to make but, like they say (in the Shawshank Redemption at least): get busy living or get busy dying. Keep an eye on me y'all - I may need your help

Gosh...I remember you and I both joined at about the same time..and your trip seemed so far, far away!!

It's here already?!? :-) Well, you've sure been looking forward to it (and you do some hard-core longterm planning!!), so I know you'll have a blast!

Good for you Elvie! Have an amazing time, you've clearly earned it. You're still young, enjoy yourself..it is the right decision. Travel is one of those things that is rarely ever regretted. Be sure to keep everyone on here updated as I'm sure we are all eager to hear your stories and see your smiling faced photos.
