Where's my Cabana boy?

So let's say you have a coworker that works within close proximity of you. And she's pretty much cool. Not overly talkative most of the time. But the problems happen when she does open her mouth. And overshares.
We're talking some serious information I dont need to know. Like, how many guys she banged while married to her first husband, how she's a nympho but wasnt sexually molested, how her and her husband are swingers...ect.
See I'm cool with chit chat about weather and whatnot. But I think she might assume that because we're both young ladies we can 'share'. And as bad as it sounds...I dont nec. want to be friends with my coworkers. I'm there to make money, then go home.
And I certainly dont want to involve HR because I dont care that much. It dosent bother me enough to raise that big of a stink.

But how the hell do you get people to shut up about their personal lives (and current state of their genitalia).

Just tell her it's not your business. You shouldnt at all feel bad about not wanting to hear that stuff.

Maybe you should tell her what you told everyone here in the dating thread, that you'd have let some guy feel you up on the first date... at least you'd have some common ground in discussions.

After much (45 seconds) thinking, I think you should begin a conversation with, "So I was talking to Jim in the mail room the other day about your vagina..."

She'll never bug you again.

Mike--
It was not our first date, thankyouverymuch.
It was our 4th I think...maybe 3rd. Whatever, it was the last.

But that's a fantastic idea Justin! I will do just that.
And if that dosent work I dont know what will.

I love Justin's idea - I might have to apply that at work - just in general with people I don't like. That sounds awesome! I work with so many people who like to feel important and be the center of attention - this way I can tell them they are Smile
