Hello,

I desperately need a job that will include international travel that will take advantage of my Spanish proficiency, if possible. I have an Int'l biz degree as well as a Biz Admn degree. Though I have concentrated on customer service for int'l distributors for the last 4 years since graduation. I cannot actually relocate to another location that will offer jobs with required travel. Anything out there that I could use my skills that required travel but that I would not have to relocate?

Why can't you relocate?

I would assume you know the Rochester job market better than any of us so you probably already know what your options are. Jobs that require international travel just aren't that common and Spanish speakers not that rare so you might have to broaden your search a bit.

How do you feel about sales? Something in sales and business may allow for some travel, but I don't know about internationally. You would probably have to work your way up to that.

Thanks skobb. Yes, the Rochester market smells a lot like the state of NJ. I have started to broaden my search and looking for things that will not require that I relocate. Though sales is a possibility, I know it is not my forte. Customer Service, account management, and some marketing are though.

You might look into working for a travel company. They may not pay you to travel, but allow good travel benefits. This especially might line up with your customer service and account management abilities.

I used to work for a company called EF Education selling educational trip packages to schools. It was basically a cold calling sales job, but had a pretty good atmosphere and allowed for discounted travel. There are plenty of similar operations like this and perhaps something in that area.
