My favorite coworker just gave her notice. I'm very sad.

I'm sorry. The people we work with really do make all the difference. I go back to the bookstore where I've worked before to work at Christmas and I'm always a little nervous that someone will have left - it's harder to keep in touch because a lot of my co-workers don't have email.

Hope you can keep in touch with her.

Yeah. I mean a few of them do but obviously I'm not worried about losing touch with them. The bookstore is in downtown Chicago, and a few of the people I really like are kind of just paying the rent, taking care of kids, and don't have computers.

I had a really crappy job once, but worked with a really tight team. That lasted all of six weeks and the team started to break up. I was only there two weeks longer. Co-workers can make or break some jobs, no question.
