I have just under 100 days of work left before I'm done. So i took a pack of post-its (100), and I'll tear one off each day as a countdown. How subtle of me, eh?


It looks like a damn thick pad right now!

we're kinda doing the same thing. we have one of those desktop far side calendars where you tear a page off each day... our pad looks pretty darn thick too - 254 days!!!

I have 31 days left.... it cannot come fast enough

Haha, I have 11 weeks until I am done with work before my trip. I am a teacher, so my students are also stoked for summer so we made a countdown board where we tear off after each week! Gotta love it.

i leave on May 19th for a month in Western Europe with 3 friends from high school. Then I am off to work at in Croatia for 2 months followed by a month or more trip through Eastern Europe. I sit at my desk everyday daydreaming. I have completely zoned out of the work mode.

I feel your pain as I have got ~470 days until I leave. At times I can barely contain my excitement at the prospect of going on this trip. Other times I feel oppressed by the sheer amount of time (or so it seems) that I have until I leave.

To overcome this I usually check out a guide book or a travel book from the library, read a new travel blog or throw a couple of travel related movies onto the top of my Netflix queue. That and keep telling myself it will all be worth it once I am there.

Don't worry, it'll come! I remember when I had 500 days til my trip... now i'm at 218. GETTING CLOSER WOOOOO

110 days total til i leave!! Can't wait for the 100-day mark.

3 years, 2 months, 9 days..... does this make you all feel better? I hope so.

Yesterday I spent a good half hour making a variety of countdowns on my igoogle home page. I have the ultimate countdown (to my departure) as well as some for fun things throughout the summer that are getting me through.

Now everytime I go online I get to see how many boring hours / minute/ seconds I have left at my job.

~150 days left at my current job. 217 days left til the trip.

Holy crap, a 3 year countdown? I'd like to say it'll fly by but think that might be a stretch. Nice site you have there.

I wish I had a countdown to stick to, I keep flip flopping my plans all over the place! You guys are giving me the inspiration I need to set a date. Finally.

unfortunately yes ... I should have been going next year but circumstances got in the way.

Still I am going away every year until I go as well so It's not really that bad.

Thanks for the comment on the site. It has taken a bit of work and a great deal of

246 days for me. Truthfully, I'm more apprehensive about the date that I turn in my notice than the actual "release date" from the cubicle prison. I plan to give one month's notice as a professional courtesy and I'm pretty sure that I will be able to work it. Still, they ain't gonna be happy, especially in light of all of the projects we have coming up next year.

That's they way it will always be in information technology, so no sense in waiting for a less hectic time that will never come.

I feel your pain. We've got right at about 444 days before we go. Tick, tick, tick...
