It's both the most liberating and scarriest feeling. I planned it to coincide with an extended trip I'm taking in September. Having worked at the same job for nearly 10 years now, my definition of extended equates to about 1.5 months, which isn't a whole lot by the standards of the folks in these forums, but it'll be the most I've ever taken.

Anyway, just wanted to let all you cube/office-dwellers know that there is hope out there I put off quitting for ages and finally decided, you just gotta dive in feet first and not think about the consequences.

Fair play redleader! I quit mine last Friday and was bouncing around the office with winning smiles all day.

Working out my months notice is going to be rubbish though, when I know I'm going to be somewhere far more interesting very soon. The waiting is interminable.
