Does anyone else have this problem?...

You sit at your desk/cubicle/wherever and you start surfing the internet. You go to the BnA website. You read a couple threads and before you know it you've wasted the ENTIRE day doing nothing productive. Don't get me wrong, it's not like this everyday, but I'm lucky enough to have a fabulous work environment where I can pretty much do as I please without having someone look over my shoulder. The downside is, sometimes I feel like I'm wasting their time. Anyone else out there have this issue??

Never had any guilt about that whatsoever. As long as my work got done, I felt the playtime was my reward for getting the work done quickly and efficiently.

But the job I have now, I have so much work to do, there is no goof off time. I miss those goof off days...

Yes, Courtpye, I also have that guilty feeling. My job is slow right now and I find myself dreaming about far away lands and before I know it I'm on this thread or that thread or other travel sites and the next thing I know a couple of hours have gone by...yikes!

Don't get me wrong, I get all my "required" work done...I just know that I could be doing more but I choose to be on here or somewhere else instead. I wish someone could remove the guilt part of my brain!

Of course, I am planning on becoming a teacher so I know these days of goofing off are very far and few between...

I get done what is required of me. No I don't feel guilty about goofing around the BnA website and other internet sites. At least I am not wasting away playing patience or checkers on the computer like the witches do when things are slow for them. I see it as compensation for being chained to the damn phone. There is absolutely no flexibility in my job and that is something I miss dearly.

Take comfort in the fact that while you're wasting their time, they are still getting richer....once you let go of the guilt, then and only then can you become master of your cube!!
