Does anyone know of a place online to look for international contract positions? I'm a US citizen looking for a job as a software engineer, maybe in Europe or Asia, but I'd like to see what my options are first. I'm still very early in the process.

Have you ever explored USA Jobs? There are many positions posted there from around the world.

Good luck with your search! Smile

I would just google "<country> jobs".

Most cases you should get results from job sites returned.

Then it a matter of searching those sites for your area of expertise.

Given a real shortage of skills in the UK and Oz for IT professionals I dont think you would have an issue if your skills are in demand.

I met someone who contracted in New Zealand, Oz, France, UK and now is back in New Zealand. Its nice to contract for 6 months being paid $800 a day.

In asian countries where contracting is relatively rare, you'd have issues. But if you get a job in Oz, HK or Singapore, its only a hop, skip and jump to the asia pacific region for a break.

good luck in looking for an overseas job.

Look here if you are interested in using your IT skills in international development work. Don't know if that is the kind of work you are looking for though.
