Lost in Place

Since I'm very proud about the place (not the company though) I'm working in, I thought you guys out there would maybe want to see it. And maybe you can show the rest of BnA where are You spending (or wasting - depends on) your mayor part of the day. If it's outdoor or indoor, on sea or underneath, in a coal mine or deep in the jungle, in a tiny cubicle lost on a middle floor of a skyscraper or outside it, cleaning the windows high above the ground. Show me, show us, I'm sure I'm not the only one who's excited (or utterly squashed as some might be) by my working place...

So mine one is in the Cairngorms sky area - Scotland. Fitters mate in winter, outside squad in summer.

Think four walls and filled with high school kids and you've got my classroom...

But in three months, think:

I could post more, but you get the idea...

Nice pics Nancy, like the one with the huge trees, would love to see them my self. But pictures here should be work related. So my guess is move these ones to another discussion and show us the ones with the four walls and all the school kids inside... Thumbs Up

This is the place where I work, except the photo is at least several months old. Part of the building has since been pulled down and the whole area is now one huge building site...

We just had a huge shuffle so the photo I took the other week is now outdated. I will have to bring my camera to work again! At least this time I have an even better view.

My work place is where the old things are. As an archaeologist I go many places to play in the dirt here's some pretty pickies.

I'll start with the more glamorous.

Then it's down to hard work

and the end result

But it's not all excavation and digging very straight holes, there's also a lot of sitting on your ass doing tedious stuff. this time in a relitavely exotic location (Camoweal, North QLD) but usually an uninspiring office (Not worthy of photos).

No pics, but imagine if you will...a small old office building shoddily converted into a school building (three of my four wals bend if you lean on them) with weird wiring and an aircon permanently set on tundra. Add all the technology you could possibly squeeze into a classroom, then sprinkle in a healthy serving of thugs and wanna-be thugs, all sagging their jeans and sporting some serious belt buckles. Stir.

Voila! My classroom!

...... that's the view in my cubicle. I work in a basement and face a blank wall. Outside is pretty, though.

Archaeology sounds pretty cool to me kj115. Where about on the planet did you disturbed the genius loci so far? In good manner I mean... Bow

Sky Annie, what about to nail a nice big poster or so on to the wall, better to face fantasy in your mind rather then a empty blank wall Roll Eyes Not that you didn't come up with the same idea your self yet...

M0loch, what an amazing place to work, what's your occupation over there - keeping the flags flapping? Coffee ...that might keep ya warm for a bit, right?

You have not lived until you have seen a 1,100 pound horse upside down and suspended in the air. I got to see this because I asked the question, "What exactly do you do here?"

Crazy, huh?

Legally I am not allowed to take pictures of my work space, (oooh, aaah, sounds mysterious and top secret) but if you can imagine lots of slot machines, blackjack tables, and hot chicks delivering drinks to tourists and locals alike, you can picture it for yourself.
