Here are some tips for people looking to find a rewarding job that also allows travel.

My non-profit gig is at a private Christian Academy. I'll be doing mostly administrative work, some public relations, but I also will serve as a college and career coordinator. As part of that, I'm hoping to get my students interested in travel via an educational tour company I've found (send me a message if you want the name of the company, I don't want to advertise and get booted off bootsnall).

I've been communicating with them for some time, but I couldn't figure out how to make it work while working full time elsewhere. Now that I am going to work for the school, everything is falling into place. The Group Leader (that's me, or you!) travels free, in addition to an all-expense paid 5 days in Paris for orientation, PLUS, every trip you take with your students earns points for you toward personal travel, kind of like credit card rewards points.

The longest tours they offer are 15 days, so it's not long-term, which is what many of you are looking for, but it's something. And any way you look at it, you're doing something worthwhile by broadening the minds and outlooks of young people. (And, let's face it, some of America's youth needs to realize there's more out there than MTV and Paris Hilton.)

On the other end, you could consider going to work for one of these educational tour companies. They need tour guides in every location they visit, as well as staff in their offices (which are all over the world). And I'm sure every position comes well-equipped with travel-related perks.

Hope these ideas help someone!
