Uncontacted Tribe Photographed In The Amazon

Now, I know that Christians are right now rushing to enlist these folks, and anthropologists. But I say they were ruined when they saw the plane.

That said, I love that there are places in the world that we haven't seen. Makes me happy

The hell with that. There is only one obvious choice for an emissary. The perfect person to make first contact. This is a rare opportunity to gage an honest, unbiased opinion. A unique opportunity to discern what a virgin people -- a people untouched by democracy, Disney, McDonald's, and velcro, a people not raised on Knight Rider and Baywatch, make of David "The Hoff" Hasselhoff.

Send him in.

And the Lewis to Hoff's Clark?

Easy:

Well, that's some sort of weird "Hof Love" that goes on here. I'd be curious how they react to....

Just days after photos emerged of Lindsay Lohan kissing her deejay gal pal, Samantha Ronson, rumor now has it that there's a lot more to the smooch - a wedding in fact.

Whether for real or for show, there's talk that the troubled 21-year-old actress is engaged to Ronson, 30, who's openly gay, and has been Lohan's inseparable sidekick for more than a year.

Strangely, sketches of Lindsay Lohan kissing another girl have been found on cave walls in Sicily, Spain, and France, and the likeness of one of her boobs popping out of her dress can be found on the clay pottery of the Qujialing culture of Hubei Province from circa 3,000-2,600 BCE.

Have I ever mentioned how much I love the fact that you work on the set of Stargate: Atlantis? This love is surpassed only by that brought on by Joey's reference to The Prime Directive in the post immediate following your own.

We're all starting to make Skobb look cool in comparison.

I'm calling bullshit on that story. It's a publicity stunt, it's for an excellent cause, but it's fake nonetheless.

It's possibly BS -- the picture of the guys looking up at the plane in attack mode looks a bit too perfect -- but there are plenty of so-called uncontacted tribes around the world.

The rub is that not many are completely "uncontacted." (Certainly this one is not literally "uncontacted" because they just made contact with the plane!) Perhaps a better word is isoloated.

We can't contact them without violating the Prime Directive.

The photo with them pointing their bows toward the plane does look a little too good though.

If it's true, it's wonderful to see a place still untouched by industrialization.

I already had posted the link to the Wiki page on the Prime Directive but deleted it because I think 2 Star Trek references for me in the matter of months would be a little too much to handle.

Yeah right! And how long do you reckon it'll be before they succumb to greed, STD's, and alcoholism? All the wonders of the modern world? Mankind does seem to have a bad habit of stuffing things up. No?

That said, I have to ask myself is it fair dinkum? I mean look at it - those photos are mighty sharp in focus and clear considerig they're taken from a fast moving airborne flying object. And red is definitely not their colour. It seems a bit .....contrived somehow. And another thing, how come the dude in the background is black? Is he painted too? He looks like he's wearing a ninja costume .

Well the jist of it seems to be they were not undiscovered, but they were living in isolation.

Not sure I agree with this type of publicity stunt, however the purpose behind it was worthy enough.
