Hi

Did you guys know that you can use http://www.google.com for currency conversion? I knew about the function for converting miles to km and kg to lbs etc but I was not aware that it also could do currencies. It works the same way as with other units...just type in e.g. 100 US dollars in Norwegian kroner and then you get the result. I'm not sure where it takes the numbers from but at least it will give you an idea Wink

Regards
Gard

Yup. Very handy. I use it for currency and US/Metric conversions a lot.

Also, if you search for "define:______" it'll give you a definition of the word.

Did you also know that if you SMS/text message a business name and city to GOOGL (46645) they'll send you back the address and phone number? At least in the US. Haven't tried it abroad yet.

Wow, I didn't know that, thanks!

I know I'm not a mod, so I have no "official powers" here, but I think it would be great if you added this info to this thread so we can keep all these great online tips in one place!

Sweet!! I never that about google. And, thanks for typing the instructions on how it works. I just jumped right on over to google to try it out then kind of sat there for a while looking for the "currency conversion" thing.... only then came back to the OP to read how it works Big Grin Easy. Really Easy. Saves having to click over to XE & all that.

Even us mods can't move posts from one thread into another. I have added a link to this thread in the "online travel tools" thread as Tracy suggested. Also, I am closing this thread to encourage any futher travel tool posts over there.
