For those of you who haven't read "3 Cups of Tea" by Greg Mortenson and David Oliver Relin, be sure to pick one up.

It makes a great book to take on the road and is an excellent one to leave at a hostels book swap.

About Greg's journey to raise money and build schools in Pakistan and in the same manner fight terrorism through education. Reading this book gave me hope and passion and drive to do something to help others.

A definate read!!! Has anyone else read it? What are your thoughts?

Thanks for the reminder, Trekker! I'd already forgotten after we talked about it this w'end.

Yup just finished it, It was a going away present from a friend and I have to say it was an good read, very inspirational.

But I have to say knowing how corrupt the area(not a first hand experience though) is I'm very surprised that they got all this done without greasing any wheels. I guess I'm too jaded to believe that no money was exchanged even for good causes. Just seemed too good to be true at times.

Movies make me cry but this is the first time that I felt a tear or two while reading a book (humm must me getting soft in my old age).
