Holds PhD in Packing

Hi y'all

Am looking for a sunshine week away with nice outdoor meals and good opportunities for interesting/adventurous daytrips. I'd hate to go somewhere that really deserves more than a week!

Any suggestions to match my requirements.... bear in mind that I want to go late Feb/March.

Oh one other thing... budget is limited!

I've been recommended Egypt/Morroca/Goa/Cuba and have posted in those destinations for more ideas - what other destinations are good for one week that time of year?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions you have.

My suggestion is Buenos Aires. I don't know how expensive flights are from the UK, but everything is strangely cheap once you get there and it's very nice with loads of interesting things to do in town and nearby. Al fresco dining is big there and the food is great, particularly if you like beef.

Not a bad option - have been there before though.

I've done from Rio/Lima down in South America but like the idea of Spanish speaking (but Spain won't be warm enough and I used to live in the Canaries and they'd bore me!).

North Africa seemed short haul enough giving me more actual holiday time but with obvious cultural interest.

Any more ideas people? Short or long haul with sunshine and adventure, suitable for one week only.

Thanks again in advance.

One benefit of Cuba is getting there before it opens to Americans... with Castro's health in question, things there could become very interesting in the next few months.

Coming from the UK, Cuba would be my first choice.

However, if money is tight, you may just want a return trip to Miami. There are affordable places there with chaise lounges next to swimming pools.
