I am doing the Africa Beetle Rally in April. I have a spare seat in my 1973 VW Beetle for a co-driver/navigator. The race is 15 days long. I plan on doing it in 9 days. The route is from Durban, South Africa around the south end of Lesotho across the arid Karoo to the west coast, down to Cape Town and up the Garden Route through the Transkei back to Durban.Total distance is about 4200km's. Cost would be about 300 UK Pounds which includes your share of the entry fee, petrol, food and camping.
