I was told about a website where people can hook up with other people who are willing to have visitors stay with them in their homes. Does anyone know what this website is? My email address is: conflictresolver@yahoo.com

The person that originally told me about Hospitality Club has used it and was having a woman from Taiwan stay with him for a few weeks. He really like it.

I've had several people from Global Freeloaders stay with me and it's been great all around. Hospitality Club is good too--I can personally vouch for both of these as someone on the host end.

Hey tassel-

I've gabbed with Casey of Couchsurfers before, but I've never done more than exchange a few emails through freeloaders and hospitality peeps. I hope to do a decent amount of it when I head to Eastern Europe - if I can find anyone!

I have, however, put up BnA members before Smile

Yeah, we BootsNallers can look after each other Wink

I haven't indicated that I'm prepared to do this on my profile because I don't want people to just come knocking (NOT likely in Tadley) but if we can arrange things beforehand via e-mail that's cool.

That is how Globalfreeloaders works and I'm definitely signing up with them after my next trip.

Hospitality Club kicks ass.
I've had a few people visit me, mostly showing them around town not staying with me. I've had visitors from Spain, Austria, Germany, and Brazil, as well as a few Americans. I've also had long correspondence with some people who ended up changing plans and not making it NYC.

When I was down in Buenos Aires I contacted a few people and asked if they'd show me around a bit. I can honestly say they were some of the coolest people I've ever met...we went drinking, dancing and sightseeing, all bolstered by amazing conversation.

Definitely check it out. Smile
