Simple enough of a question in the subject field, I think.

I've never gotten a scandalously low airfare, sadly.

In the early days of Southwest Airlines, one could often fly round trip to many of their destinations for $39.95 and your friend flys free. I used that for Sacramento to Phoenix/El Paso/San Diego and others many times.

When I was a student at MIT way back in the mid 80s, I used to be able to fly home to New Jersey for $19 -- I miss People's Express!

About 10 years ago I got a return flight from London to Chicago for £130.

It's a pity all the prices have risen now...it always seems so expensive to get from here to the USA now otherwise I would visit more often!!

Those were the days! My friend and I flew from Orange County to San Francisco for $39.95! Southwest was so loose then...they didn't even collect our beers during landing!

I haven't gotten any super super low ones, but I did Portland to NYC for $212 including taxes, and Portland to cologne, germany for $420 including taxes, I think those were the best. Oh and then TWA's student travel vouchers, $550 four one ways in America, including the virgin islands, wonderful.

Unfortunately, per the airline's usual advertising tactics, the fare is $45 each way plus taxes and fees. Comes to about $150 all in.
