Ko Samui for the Full Moon Party!! Get there from Surat Thani. It's on ( i think ) from the 16th but more likely on the 17/18 of may. I'm heading there too. Cant wait.....

If you heading north, hire a motor bike and do the loop from chang Mai past the waterfalls (its about 80-90 kms) Also do the same from chang rai and head to Mai Hong son. You wont believe how stunning the scenery is. You can also ride up to the golden triangle border on the same trip which is magic. The roads are great and the traffic is very light.

the golden triangle is a must! it's really cool to look across the river to Laos and Burmer. look out if you take the bus though; the bus driver i travelled with knocked down a policeman and killed him!

I agree! the full moon party on koh phagnan has to be one of the best parties in the world. The whole island is worth checking out for chillin' on a budget.

I heard Ko Tao was a great place. No cops, quiet, good diving. Maybe after your cerebelum has been destroyed at the full moon party you will want something less frantic.
