is this going to cost me an arm and a leg? how do i even begin this search via the web if orbiz type sites does not book flights originating in other countries and if most assume you are returning to the same city, at least.

When I was researching my ticket I found that the online sites weren't helpful at all. They all quoted me prices well over $600 more than I ended up paying through travelcuts.

The online sites were all quoting me about $2000 for a flight, Travelcuts priced me at $1400. This was for a Toronto - Seoul and then Beijing - Toronto itinerary.

It's multiple destination or something like that which you should select when searching. In the end, my open jaw itinerary wasn't much more than a straight up return ticket would have been. It was still cheaper than getting back to Seoul from China.

Flights like that are where most online sites fail. I'd use ITA's Airfare Search, to give me a budgetting figure, and then again right before actually buying a ticket, and have the second one with me when talking with a travel agent to bring out if they couldn't find a better deal.
