Does anyone know what Airline i should get a frequent flyer card with? I Flew From London to Australia on Air New Zealand, but apparently you can put those miles on any of the star alliance airlines.

I first thought Singapore airlines might be good, but then again i don't actually fly that much so is it worth going with BMI as it operates in the UK?

Anybody got any ideas?!

Use whatever you fly, or will fly the most. I'm Canadian, I'll be travelling domestically in the next few years and I have to fly to school, so I signed up for Aeroplan even though my big flight was on All Nippon. I figured it would be easier.

meagicano nails it.

Pick an alliance and stay with it. Do you favor British Midland or BA? Whichever one that you fly on regularly is the one that you should choose, and then stick with their partners.

I am near a UA hub, so I am a Star Alliance member. I usually use UA to Asia. and then fly on Thai or Lufthansa (god, I wish that I could afford to fly on Singapore Airlines)

I favour United - no one sane should go with BA...BMI is a pretty good one to go with as they are very generous with the rewards

Actually, my new company favours Virgin for all our work in Asia - so I am miffed - however, I guess after a few trips to HK and Japan in Business Class should bag a few miles...
