I'm having the pre-trip anxieties!! I leave for Europe on Sunday, and I'm soooo thrilled to be going, but I'm freakin' out a little. This always happens...I know everything will be fine, but I've been waking up every morning this past week in a panic - my heart is pounding and I'm shaking...what the hell??

Anyways, just needed to share my pre-trip anxieties with you - I'm sure I'll be fine once I get on that plane.
See you in 3 weeks!

Jen =)~

Yep, happens to all of us. It's a bit like "Wedding Jitters" brides all jittery and nervy and then the big day finally comes and it's ok, hair, nails, dress, etc. and she's fine.

You'll be ok, once you're actually on the plane - remember the rush of relief happens every time.

Have a blast and enjoy. Dancer

One thing that's helped me w/ trip anxieties is to set my calendar to where I'm packed "before the night before" I leave. That is, if I'm leaving on a Tuesday, I try to plan to be packed by Monday. That way, I've got the "night before" to make that last minute run to the store when I realize I forgot something, or wash that last thing I HAVE to have, or just hang out with friends & celebrate.

Most of my anxiety consists of worrying if I have everything I need.

Dont worry a bit... in a couple months you will miss those feelings.

You could call it anxiety but really it is just fear of the unknown combined with excitement... How fun. How often do you get to experience those feelings?

Anyways, there's nothing to be worried about... be scared, be excited and enjoy every minute of it!

Just occurred to me that you're probably already gone... hope everything went well!

Hey all!

Thanks for all your replies. So yes, I'm in Europe now,
and once I got on the plane, all of my pre-trip anxieties vanished. The trip has been wonderful, and I look forward to planning my next trip...wherever that may be!

I'm in Holland now and leave for Paris tomorrow. On Friday I come home - in a way I want it to continue, but it will nice to be home as well.

Ciao!
Jen
