neat - I'm also logging in from Varna, Bulgaria. trying to figure out how the heck to get a day tour around this part of the country. it's proving to be a very difficult task, indeed.
seems we keep just missing people in the places we've been. I think you're all avoiding us!

Ilulissat, Greenland. The owners of this place just had the most monumental bust-up. I understood every word. Now my cheecks are burning and I have to get off this machine in five minutes and act stupid...

I'm at our family store, 8 miles from home, with very little to do. Rather be in Rome (well, considering that it's August, maybe not).

Tlaquepaque, Mexico. (Say that three times fast.)

Strange not because it´s remote or anything. It´s a suburb of Guadalajara that´s near the airport for my hellishly early return flight tomorrow. What´s strange is it´s full of really upscale shops and galleries and home decor stuff. Am I ever a fish out of water. It´s like Rodeo Drive for the south of the border Marta Stewart set. Very bizarre given some of the pueblos and other places I´ve been on this trip.

A little café, Autour d'un Verre, filled with dodgey old Parisian men drinking coffee with free wifi just a hundred meters from Gare du Nord.

On my way to London BnA x-mas party!!!

This is so not fair. All this fun stuff happening and I can't be there.

I hope this is all being recorded on the secret tape the moderators are making of the meeting (and then burying in an undisclosed location) for those who can't attend.

Home now, but out on the range and not Timbuktu but the Gagaju Bush Camp near Noosa managed to have a decent ADSL connection better than home, and I even gave a short rendition of 'Born one mornin......' around the camp fire.
