At the moment there are a few companies offering stupidly cheap flights from the UK to Europe - for example UK to Sweden for £3 return !!!!

Something else to keep in mind is, if you're flying with U.S.-based carriers, that the airlines have done some major fare-dropping lately. Businesses are tightening their belts, so all that business-class money is drying up a bit, so the airlines are backing off to try to encourage more people to fly.
